Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction Tipperary

Extracting Old Insulation From Exterior Walls In Tipperary

Over the years, the original insulation sitting inside a cavity wall can deteriorate, slump down or become waterlogged, and once that happens it simply stops doing its job. Worse still, it can actually start pulling moisture across the wall and straight into your home.

Cavity wall extraction is the process of thoroughly removing this failed or damaged material from the cavity so the wall can properly dry out and, where appropriate, be re-insulated with a fresh, high quality product. It is something we carry out regularly for homeowners across Tipperary who are struggling with damp patches, cold walls or heating bills that just keep climbing.

We remove all types of insulation material during extraction, including mineral wool, foam, polystyrene beads and more, which helps to prevent thermal bridging.

To get the old insulation out, we remove a small number of bricks at carefully chosen points along the wall and blow compressed air into the cavity, breaking the old material apart and pushing it downward. At the same time, a powerful industrial vacuum collects the waste as it falls, clearing the cavity from top to bottom without causing any disruption to the structure of your home.

Once the wall is completely clear, we reinstate the brickwork and, if you would like, refill the clean, dry cavity with brand new insulation.

Alongside cavity extraction, we also offer cavity wall insulations in Tipperary, attic insulation and a range of other services.

Every extraction is carried out by an experienced, fully insured team who make sure the site is left clean and tidy once the work is done.
