External Insulation Specialists Tipperary
House wrapping, or external wall insulation as it is also known, is one of the best investments you can make for an older or solid walled property in Tipperary. By encasing the outside of your home in a continuous layer of insulation, we get rid of cold bridging and heat loss through exposed walls, dramatically improve the building’s energy efficiency, and give the exterior a clean, contemporary and fully weatherproof finish all at the same time.
It really is the perfect solution for homes that are not suitable for cavity insulation or that could simply do with a new lease of life.
When we wrap a house in Tipperary we mechanically fix and bond insulation boards, either EPS (expanded polystyrene) or, where additional strength and moisture resistance are required, XPS (extruded polystyrene), across the full external face of the wall.
On top of these boards we apply a reinforced base coat with an embedded fibreglass mesh to create a solid, crack resistant surface, and we then finish the whole elevation in a through coloured silicone render. Silicone render is breathable, self cleaning and incredibly hardwearing, meaning the new finish holds its appearance and stands up to the elements for many years to come.
All the detailing around windows, doors, sills and roof lines is completed to a high standard so your finished home looks fantastic and stays properly protected.
